Norton Rose Fulbright bolsters Islamic finance practice

Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the appointment of Shauaib Mirza as of counsel in the Dubai office. Mirza joins the firm from Clifford Chance.

Mirza is a highly experienced Islamic finance lawyer with ten years of experience advising financial institutions, sovereigns and corporate clients on a broad range of high profile and innovative banking and debt capital market transactions. Most recently he advised DP World on the structuring and establishment of its USD3 billion sukuk programme which implemented a first of its kind TEU-based manafae structure and was recently awarded the Islamic Finance News “Deal of the Year” award.
